We'll conclude the tour with a shared bites and lively conversation about creating streets for people of all ages, languages, ethnicities, genders, races and abilities to feel safe on.

Our Itinerary

We start at the Beacon Hill light rail station and slowly bike 5.4 miles north to Yesler Terrace/Little Saigon, through Pioneer Square, then along the downtown waterfront, ending at the Olympic Sculpture Park. With our ride co-leaders Clara Cantor (SNG) and Bob Svercl (Beacon Hill Safe Streets), we will ride on trails, protected bike lanes, and slow streets as much as possible, but this route does include arterials without protected bike lanes. Join for as much or as little as you want!

Highlighted projects along our route include the Beacon Hill Healthy Street, Beacon Hill bike route, Yesler & 12th Ave gap, Bailey Gatzert Elementary safe routes to school project, and downtown waterfront trail gap. Along the way we’ll be hear from local project leaders Bob Svercl (Beacon Hill Safe Streets), Brie Gyncild and Ethan Campbell (Central Seattle Greenways), and Badar Ahmed (Downtown Greenways) about the latest opportunities and challenges in our efforts to UnGapTheMap.

From our route end at the Olympic Sculpture Park, we'll head to the Pub 70 patio next door to enjoy tasty appetizers and a glass of beer, wine or your favorite non-alcoholic drink on us!
